Yesterday, the Chief of Police of the Metropolitan Police Department (DC’s police department) blamed trans people for their own victimization, and at the end of the day, Councilmember Harry Thomas Jr–whose father was a beloved Councilmember–resigned in disgrace. This is the second time I’ve quoted Bryan Weaver this week, but I think he put it perfectly.
